Canvas Head of Programming: culture, science & history (°1959)

Reinhilde built up media experience as an editor and producer at the VRT. In 1997 she was appointed spokesperson of VRT Television. In 1999 she left the VRT to become Director of Communication for, among others, Brugge 2000 and the non-profit organization Flagey. This experience in the cultural sector brought her back to the VRT as Coordinator of Cultural Strategy. She was appointed to her current position as Canvas Head of Programming in the new crossmedia VRT structure in March 2007.

CANVAS:
Canvas - a channel of the VRT, the Dutch-language public broadcaster of the Flemish community in Belgium - is an informative and cultural channel with a strong documentary profile. Documentaries, cultural programmes and quality fiction form the backbone of its programming. This wide and varied programming is its strength and allows it to give its viewers an ever-fascinating window on the world. The new Canvas schedule commenced in January 2008.
