"After a first experience as assistant for the Arte Programme at the Spanish television (TVE2), Matteo Solaro started to work in 2002 for the Technical Assistance Office in charge of the administrative and technical tasks of the MEDIA Plus Programme. He had been in charge of the monitoring of the Cinema Distribution and TV Broadcasting projects.

He entered in the MEDIA Programme Unit of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in January 2006 as Project Manager of the TV Broadcasting scheme. This scheme is aimed to finance documentary, fiction or animation projects produced by independent production companies, intended for the television market and having an European and International configuration.
As Project Manager of the MEDIA Programme, the main tasks of Matteo Solaro are:

- preparing the guidelines and the calls for proposals for the TV Broadcasting scheme,
- verifying and assessing the projects submitted within these calls for proposals,
- organizing the Evaluation Committees which select the projects,
- assuring the monitoring of the contracts.

He has acquired a wide expertise in the European market of creative television productions, as well as in the legal and financial aspects of co-productions."
