Canvas Channel Manager (°1967)

Jan began his media career as an editor for VRT Television and independent production companies. As general editor-in-chief, he subsequently supervised various audio-visual projects for a number of Flemish broadcasters. In 2005 Jan returned to the VRT as Canvas Programme Manager. In March 2007 he was appointed Canvas Channel Manager, entrusted with the task of updating and revitalising this informative and cultural channel.

Documentaries, cultural programmes and quality fiction form the backbone of its programming. This wide and varied programming is its strength and allows it to give its viewers an ever-fascinating window on the world. The new Canvas schedule commenced in January 2008.
