Unexpected Media - Creative Director - UK

Frank Boyd has been a pioneer of new media in the UK' since founding the Arts Technology Centre in 1989. He has worked as producer, funder and trainer on innovative creative and economic development programmes in the arts, broadcast, and in education in the UK, Europe, the US and Australia.

Amongst other projects, he established the European Multimedia Labs, X Media Lab in Australia and the UK's Digital Media Alliance. He was a founder member of BAFTA's Interactive Entertainment Awards before joining BBC Innovation and Learning as Director of Creative Development.

He has recently worked with the London Development Agency to establish a programme of support for the digital media industries in London which included PACT's Rights Lab and the London Games Festival.

As Creative Director of Unexpected Media he directs the BBC's Innovation Labs and also leads the Crossover series of collaborative workshops
