Johannesburg Revisited (1996) In 1962, Danish
director Henning Carlsen managed to shoot a controversial feature
in Johannesburg under clandestine conditions. In this documentary,
the original cast of black and white actors return from exile
to meet the new South Africa. A film about hope and desillusion
and the alienation of coming home after 34 years. Produced for

The Magus (1999) is a portrait
of Swedish jazz pianist Jan Johansson, who - until his untimely
death in 1968 - melted jazz with Scandinavian folk music into
a style of extraordinary beauty. Friends and colleagues look
back on an enigmatic man, who took them on an unforgettable
musical voyage.

A Burning Issue (2000) follows
an ambitious project in Mozambique to rid the entire country
of dangerous waste pesticides. Ironically, the Danish-funded
project is met by the fury of a new environmentalist movement
in Mozambique, and the situation develops into a thought-provoking
dilemma: Which standards are good enough for Africa?

Malaria! (2001) is a broad account
of the causes and consequences of drug-resistant malaria. Tracing
its history and following its path of destruction throughout
the Third World, the film explores how the disease - despite
of its enormous scale - has been totally neglected by the multinationals
of the drug industry.

Tintin And I (2003) is a portrait
of Belgian artist Hergé and his world-famous cartoon
character. Based on a previously unreleased interview with the
artist, the film explores the deep connections between the Adventures
of Tintin and Hergé's personal life.

The Vanguard Of Diplomacy (2004)
follows the first wave of Danish diplomats and advisers as they
struggle to find their bearings in the chaos of post-war Iraq.
As the violence in Baghdad grows by the week, the pressure on

portrait of Denmark's iconic rock band of the 1970's. A motley
crew of forceful personalities recapitulate how they developed
